We live in a completely digital world. Thanks to the technological development we have been witnessing, in recent years, an evolution in the way of conceiving and creating traditional products / services. The electronic cigarette, together with e-commerce, are an example of this trend in progress. Today, we would like to present you the case hystory of the Electronic Cigarette Outlet, an online store on the most fashionable product in recent times: the e-cig.

The idea of creating a site for online sales of electronic cigarettes is by Massimiliano Grand, a young entrepreneur from Turin with a strong passion for this type of product. However, the idea alone is not enough. It is necassary, in fact, to be able to transform the idea into a concrete project capable of generating profit.

To realize his project, Massimiliano Grand decided to contact the ecommerce agency Jusan Network. The process of creating the Electronic Cigarette Outlet has gone through several phases: from listening to customer needs, analyzing the market, proposing possible solutions to sharing the strategy, from developing the platform to web marketing activities (see how we work). The final result of this long design and implementation process is an ecommerce website tailored to the characteristics of the product and the target audience.

Once the main points of the project were defined, the first step was to create a logo for the Outlet of the Electronic Cigarette. As we know, the logo is a central aspect of corporate communication, as it allows to summarize within a graphic sign the values and characteristics that distinguish a brand. As you can see, the logo of the Electronic Cigarette Outlet consists of two letters: the “O” and the “S”.

Combined together, the two letters recall the act of svapare (term used by consumers of e-cig). The letter “O” represents the mouth, the letter “S” instead represents both the steam and the e-cig. The red box, also called inside the Naming, is the colored led present at the end of the e-cig that is accessed during the act of svapare.

After defining the project and creating the logo, the real ecommerce development phase began, on the PrestaShop platform, the leading ecommerce solution in Italy and Europe.

The ecommerce of the Outlet of the Electronic Cigarette counts on a prevalence of images that show in detail the products on sale, helping to give more breathing to the different sections of the site and providing the user with a more emotional impact. To give more emphasis to the products, it was decided not to enrich the site with useless and not very functional graphic tinsel.

Everything has been studied to focus the attention of consumers exclusively on items for sale and their technical characteristics.

Another central aspect in the development activity concerned the optimization of the search engine platform. This is a matter of primary importance, since a SEO Friendly site helps on one hand the positioning of the offer on some strategic keywords, and on the other it constitutes a solid basis for the subsequent Web Marketing activities.

Finally, the question connected to the Responsive must not be underestimated. Providing consumers with the opportunity to browse their online shop from any device (desktop and mobile), allows you to follow their customers throughout their purchase process: from the search for information to the comparison of products, from the choice of purchase to the conclusion of the transaction.

Due to the great success of the Lovecake products, the company has decided to contact Jusan Network to renew its online sales site.The objectives of this activity can be summarized in three points:

  • Rearrange the products inside the online shop
  • Give a new graphics to the site
  • Optimize the platform from the point of view of search engines

The new masting

To rearrange in a more rational way the products present within Lovecake, the site has been radically changed. The first step was making an inventory of products, to understand the possible categories and sub-categories in which to enter the various articles. Once the analysis phase, we have gone to study the possible solutions. As a final result of this long process was the organization of the products in five major categories (Baby, Baby Girl, for the home, original ideas, festivals) in turn divided into different sub-categories. Thanks to the new masting, users landing on Lovecake will have a greater ease in navigating through the various sections of the site and to find the perfect gifts.

The new graphic

We know that even the eye wants its part. In particular, when we talk about creative and original gifts, the visual appearance that rotates around the articles for sale is a key component to immerse users in this world of play and imagination. A graphics well studied and realized also improves the user experience, helping them in their search for the perfect gift. The layout chosen for the new ecommerce of Lovecake has a white background with the insertion of some details that recall the colors of the logo. Colorful banners that give greater emphasis to the products and the most important information, and attract the theme of the feast dominate the home page of the site. Unlike the home page, la card product is characterized by the presence of a few colored elements able to distract the visitor. The product and Softskills related thereto are the main protagonists of this page.

The optimization

The new masting and new graphics have helped to improve the user experience. To make the site pleasing also to search engines, instead, was brought forward an activity of platform optimization. After a careful analysis of the different components of the site and the keywords are most suitable, began the work of optimization true to make the site SEO friendly. The activities of optimization of the platform was flanked the embodiment of a blog that helps the posionamento for your site on major search engines.
